About the Client

Our client is a leading global logistics and supply chain management company, delivering comprehensive transportation, warehousing, and freight solutions across a diverse range of industries. Key Responsibilities:

Provide Claims Management service in areas such as Cargo Claims (core focus), property & casualty, general liability, product liability, and organizations liability in line with IRM claims management policies and procedures, Group guidelines and overall business objectives and needs.

  • Lead and oversee IRM claims handling service offering out of Malaysia Service Centre to APAC countries.
  • Manage big and complex claims in coordination with stakeholders including IRM internal colleagues, BU business colleagues, external experts and insurance companies.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding market share, conducting feasibility studies, and execute implementation in conjunction with all stakeholders including IRM System Team.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, monitoring claims volume and the performance of other key KPI’s.
  • Ensure consistency and reliability of the service provided to BU and drive continuous improvement of operational efficiency.
  • Build trust business relationship with BU SMT through proactive engagement to enhance understanding, identify business expectations and implement workable solutions.
  • Develop claims training programs to increase BU awareness of IRM claims value proposition and the standard claims handling process to enhance collaboration, optimize process efficiency and drive operational excellence of BU.
  • Supervise and guide the Claims staff of the Service Centre, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Navigate, network and establish cross boarder relationships to leverage best practices and execute program-wide claims strategies through internal claims management communities.
  • Support on IRM global and/or regional projects and objectives, prioritizing needs and driving deliverables.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance policies are met within global guidelines.
  • Adopt the company’s culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness and dynamic attitude contributing to an internal environment of collaborative teamwork and promote a positive insurance & risk management service provision.

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years marine insurance claims management experience or legal practice as a legal counsel.
  • 5+ years in the supply chain & logistics field will be an added advantage.
  • Degree in Business, Management, Insurance, Legal, Finance or other closely related field.
  • Excellent spoken & written English.
  • Strong leadership skills, resourceful, and persuasive.
  • Good business acumen and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and the external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Worked within an international company with cross-border communication experience.
