Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in injection molding maintenance or related repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Train lower-level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting techniques.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, performing preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure total customer satisfaction. This position will be assigned a wide range of development and production tasks to support the technical needs of the Company. Manufacturing technicians work with all aspects of manufacturing from production control to automation.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform evaluations and/or analyze unique problems that are new to equipment.
  2. Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs that need to be made.
  3. Perform training as needed to lower-level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques utilized with equipment.
  4. Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment downtime.
  5. Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
  6. Construct and/or assemble new equipment.
  7. Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
  8. Perform Lock Out / Tag Out requirements.
  9. Help repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
  11. Adhere to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
  12. Analyze and improve existing products, equipment, processes as assigned.
  13. Develop manufacturing methods and processes in the production of components and methods to reduce manufacturing costs.
  14. Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, and methods of manufacturing.
  15. Participate in cost reduction and cost of quality programs.
  16. Assist manufacturing engineer in solving production constraints.
  17. Support production through independent review, root cause analysis, corrective action, discrepancy handling, and defect prevention.

Requirements

  1. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  2. Ability to work independently.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
  4. Must have good or corrected eyesight to ensure quality of work.
  5. Strong practical technical ability.
  6. Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education / Experience

  1. Associate Diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  2. 3+ years experience in injection molding maintenance, or mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repair.
