Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Penang, Bayan Lepas, invites applications for a Manufacturing Technical Support role. You will perform a variety of duties in manufacturing areas, including installation, maintenance, repair and support of equipment, plus testing and troubleshooting of production processes and products.

The role requires hands-on repair experience, strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, and knowledge spanning mechanical, electrical, electronics and software aspects.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders with hands-on repair experience.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Intimate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronics and software aspects.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing product repair work.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas.
• Duties may relate to installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment.
• Provide technical support of production processes, product test and troubleshooting, and technical analyses.
• Conduct tests, experiments and problem resolution for components, parts, products or processes/systems.
• May design and/or build tools as part of manufacturing support.
• Work on manufacturing technical support assignments with clearly defined objectives.

• Responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas. Duties may be related to installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment, technical support of one or more production processes, product test and troubleshooting, and technical analyses and problem-solving.
• Conducts tests, experiments and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products or processes/systems.
• May design and/or build tools.
• Works on manufacturing technical support assignments with clearly defined objectives.
• Performs technical duties that may require use of judgment.
• Solves product/process problems which require technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering with typically 3 years of working experience.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Intimate knowledge of all aspects of machine from mechanical, electrical, electronics and software.
• Hands‑on experience with manufacturing product repair work.
