The Role
We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join us at Salus! This role ensures internal and external customers receive quality, efficient and effective service whilst maintaining optimum workshop efficiency, productivity and safety.
This role is responsible for:
Overseeing activities conducted under the NZ CAA Part 148 certification for Manufacturing.
Ensuring all work is completed on time and within agreed budgets
Liaising with customers and internal teams
Liaising with the Design Manager during the manufacturing process on any issues
In-depth working knowledge of Safety and Compliance in Manufacturing and comply with regulatory frameworks, company expositions and Standard Practice Instructions (SPI).
Managing the Production Schedule
Reviewing Manufacturing Orders in conjunction with MFG Admin for material requirements and allocation of resources to meet on time delivery of products
Responsible for ensuring minimum stock levels are set, reviewed and communicated to the manufacturing procurement staff member.
Responsibility to ensure material inspection and receipting is carried out.
Assisting Manufacturing Manager with planning and scheduling of tasks.
Assistance with production where required to ensure products are produced on time.
Responsible for weekly update and communication of the production plan to staff.
Ideally you will have/be:
Previous experience in leading a team of engineers within a manufacturing environment.
Track record of successful delivery in an engineering/aviation environment.
Experience in operating under a Part 148 approved facility and knowledge of the associated requirements.
Sound knowledge of ERP workflows and templates.
Track record of successful delivery in a maintenance or manufacturing role.
An understanding of NZCAA requirements and operating environment would be desirable
