Job Description

Brief Job Description:

The Project Quality Engineer will ensure that major ETO (Engineer to Order) projects are properly implemented from order to customer handover. The role involves close coordination with the local Service organization and central functions (R&D, Marketing, Service, and Quality) to facilitate communication, understand customer requirements, and ensure their timely application. The engineer will coordinate activities that central functions need to perform at the site, supervise on-site activities if necessary, and follow up on issues from design through commissioning.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time Investment:
  • Support central functions to ensure smooth processes from ETO design to factory assembly and testing, including kick-off meetings, PDCA documentation, assembly, final, and witness tests.
  • Gather and provide technical and commercial documentation from central functions to support local site activities.
  • Regularly collect and share site situation updates with central functions to facilitate support and activities.
  • Monitor site activities and facilitate communication between central and local teams.
  • Report issues identified at the site to relevant departments for resolution.
  • Visit involved sites before, during, and after commissioning to support and collect feedback for product improvement.
  • Follow up on activities by central functions to ensure completion.
  • Monitor product performance post-handover and report major issues to R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical school background; a university degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of HVAC-R products and principles.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in technical roles such as Quality, Service, or Product Management.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Computer literacy, especially MS Office (including Access).
  • Ability to plan activities short to mid-term.
  • Strong coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate prioritization.
  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Good listening skills for internal and external customer needs.
  • Teamwork orientation.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in a busy environment.
