Job summary

SUNLIGHT INDUSTRIES SDN BHD – Senai, Johor is seeking a Quality Control Assistant to support incoming materials, in-process and finished product inspections. You will perform measurements, record results, and ensure procedures are followed.

Basic computer skills and attention to detail are essential. Ideal candidates have at least SPM/O-Level or equivalent, and may hold a certificate or diploma in QC, manufacturing, or engineering.

Qualifications

• SPM/O-Level or equivalent; advantage for higher relevant certificates/diplomas.
• Previous QC/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Able to use basic measuring and inspection tools.
• Basic knowledge of QC procedures and inspection methods.
• Basic computer skills (Excel/Word).
• Good attention to detail and defect identification.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work in a factory/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Perform quality inspections according to specifications and procedures.
• Identify, record, and report defects and quality issues.
• Conduct inspections at different production stages.
• Ensure processes comply with quality requirements and work instructions.
• Maintain QC records and related documentation.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production to resolve quality issues.
• Perform sampling and testing as required.
• Ensure measuring instruments are maintained and calibrated.
• Monitor non-conforming products and segregation.
• Assist in preparing QC reports and documentation.
• Follow quality, safety, and work procedures.
• Support audits as needed.
• Perform other QC duties assigned by management.
