Job summary

Gopoly Technology Sdn Bhd – Gelang Patah, Johor is seeking a manufacturing engineer to plan and optimize production line layout, balance lines, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and productivity.

You will monitor FPY, lead the introduction of new equipment and processes to enhance production capability and product quality, support NPI and ramp-up, and ensure SOP compliance while training operators and collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

Educational background in engineering related fields.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including 1 year in LED lighting or electronics manufacturing.
Familiar with lighting product manufacturing processes (SMT, Assembly, aging test, packaging).
Knowledge of quality management systems and lighting product standards (IEC 60598, GB/T 24908) and safety requirements.
Mandarin language proficiency to communicate with Mandarin-speaking personnel and overseas stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Plan and optimize production line layout, perform line balancing, work method analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) by identifying process issues and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Lead the implementation of new equipment, manufacturing processes, technologies, tools, fixtures, and jigs to enhance production capability and product quality.
Provide technical support during New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp-up, and mass production to ensure smooth production readiness.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
Conduct process training and provide technical guidance to production operators to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
