Overview

MJ Material Technology Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a talented and experienced Manufacturing IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure that supports our manufacturing operations in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, configuration and maintenance of MES and SCADA systems.
• Interface with PLCs, sensors and production equipment to collect and transmit data.
• Collaborate with IT engineers to ensure secure and reliable communication between factory floor and cloud systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize field data acquisition system (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT).
• Support integration and logic implementation for production monitoring, alarms and dashboards.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience working with PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.) and SCADA platforms (e.g., WinCC, Ignition).
• Basic programming or scripting skills (Python, Node-RED or similar).
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, RS-485.
• Understanding of MES system architecture and integration methods.
• Hands-on experience in smart factory or IIoT (Industrial IoT) projects is an added advantage.
