Job summary

Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to lead NPI, process transfers, and EP/secondary operations, ensuring BOMs and ECOs are accurate.

The role requires a manufacturing background with GD&T, CAD, ERP/PLM experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration across Production, Quality, and suppliers. Fluency in English, BM, and Mandarin is preferred, and Lean Six Sigma methods drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience covering Product Engineering, EP/Electroplating, and Secondary processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of GD&T, DFM, surface finish chemistry, and mechanical setup.
• Proficient in 8D, PFMEA, SPC, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Familiar with CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and ERP/PLM systems.
• Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to interact with cross-functional teams and Chinese‑speaking vendors.
• Strong problem‑solving and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI, process transfers, DFM/DFA reviews, and manage BOMs/ECOs in ERP systems.
• Optimize Electropolishing (EP) chemical bath parameters (current density, bath chemistry, dwell time) to meet surface finish specs.
• Setup, troubleshoot, and optimize secondary mechanical operations (deburring, blasting, heat treatment, washing, machining).
• Perform equipment setup, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and maintenance for EP lines and secondary equipment.
• Analyze process trends, yields, scrap rates, and execute CAPA using 8D, PFMEA, and Fishbone root-cause analysis.
• Drive Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma projects for process stability and cost reduction.
• Create and update SOPs, process flow charts, work instructions, and PFMEAs.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and external suppliers (chemical, tooling, equipment).
• Train technicians and operators on process safety and operating procedures.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
