Job Responsibilities
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering Department, overseeing New Product Introduction, line setup, product transfer, process development and optimization, continuous improvement, and engineering change control.
- Collaborate with product engineers and tooling teams to define manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with relevant functions to ensure manufacturing line readiness.
- Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for smooth daily operations and ongoing improvements.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by enhancing uptime, throughput, and reducing scrap rates.
- Identify and lead OPEX labor savings initiatives to meet annual cost savings targets.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and Lean activities for continuous process improvement.
- Support new business pursuits by participating in design and leading manufacturing during the Product Development Process (Phase/Gate).
- Drive standardization of manufacturing processes.
- Lead automation initiatives for new and existing programs.
- Develop team capabilities through training and coaching.
- Define the manufacturing process technology roadmap.
- Conduct training and coaching for Manufacturing Engineers.
- Manage conflicts between customer program execution and standard product development.
- Establish and regularly review Manufacturing Engineering KPIs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
- Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in CNC precision parts, machining, and electro-mechanical assembly environments.
- At least 5 years of NPI and engineering management experience, including team leadership.
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO9001, QS9000, or IATF16949.
- Experience in motor manufacturing is a plus.
