If you are a ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan location; you will be responsible to improve the manufacturing processes, production layouts and material flow of our manufacturing plant through automation and/or engineering solutions. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Supervise and manage a team of manufacturing and automation engineers.
  • Develop, design, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Develop manufacturing automation, equipment and tools roadmap for the manufacturing site, define CAPEX budgets, monitor, report and control expenditure of the budget
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Project manage design and implementation of new equipment, automation solutions and special tools.
  • Coordinate and manage engineering projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related, quality-related and safety-related problems. Implement engineering and process controls for sustainability of manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance.
  • Train and mentor engineering staff, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on engineering activities and project status.
  • Support new product development and new product, equipment introduction processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturing, automation technologies and industry trends

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5 – 10 years of related experience in Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain, including experience with Lean, Six Sigma and ERP system
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement, problem solving techniques, automation, digitialization and project management. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Master Degree and/or Bachelor’s in a Mechanical, Electro Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent
  • Excellent analytic, communication, presentation and facilitation/training skills
  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills and be able to influence people when planning and facilitating continuous improvement projects.
  • Communication, confrontation and negotiation skills are critical.
