A leading outdoor gear company seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Penang to oversee manufacturing processes and ensure production quality. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in engineering and have at least 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing qualification. The role includes collaboration on product specifications, problem-solving throughout the product lifecycle, and ensuring efficient production processes. Strong communication skills and proficiency in CAD software are essential.

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in the product lifecycle by owning the qualification of the manufacturing process to the required technical specifications, efficiency, and quality. This individual participates in specification review, engineering build (EB), manufacturing build (MB), pilot production (PP) process, partnering with manufacturing partners, YETI design engineers, quality engineers to create process validation plan (PVP), production part approval process (PPAP), and works with engineering, operations, test lab, and category management to ensure manufacturing processes are fully validated and ready for mass production.
