Job summary

Smiths Detection Group is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to optimize high-mix, low-to-medium volume production. You will drive efficiency, quality compliance, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and global stakeholders.

You will maintain documentation, monitor OEE, develop Power BI dashboards, and lead NPI and product transfer activities. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role.
• Experience with high-mix, low-to-medium volume production and NPI/transfer projects.

Responsibilities

• Documentation & Quality Systems: maintain SOPs, PFMEAs, work instructions and quality records.
• Production & Process Control: monitor OEE, develop dashboards, and perform takt time studies.
• Training & Production Support: provide on-the-job training and certify operators.
• NPI & Product Transfers: provide hands-on support, readiness assessments, and reports.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: work with Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams.
