Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support complex laser drilling applications, driving readiness for new product introductions, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure seamless production support and on-time customer commitments.

You will collaborate with Singapore Manufacturing Engineering and design teams to develop robust processes, validate jig/fixture designs, reduce cycle time, and mentor production technicians in problem-solving.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with laser machining or precision processes.
Strong knowledge of jig/fixture design, process validation and lean manufacturing.
Hands-on experience supporting production teams and resolving technical issues.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Experience with laser drilling or micro-machining applications.
Familiarity with NPI transfer processes in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OEM part qualification and lifecycle management.
Proficiency in CAD software and SPC.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.
Collaborate with Singapore Manufacturing Engineering and design teams to transfer into production smoothly.
Develop and validate robust manufacturing processes for laser drilling applications.
Ensure work instructions are in place and accurate for production use.
Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Analyze workflows and apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce cycle time and cost.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
Provide technical guidance to production technicians to resolve issues quickly.
Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Ensure production schedules and customer ship dates are met.
Support qualification of OEM End-of-Life (EOL) parts and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Develop qualification plans, execute testing, and document results.
Partner with supply chain and quality teams to manage part transitions effectively.
