Job summary

Tecan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Permanent / Temporary) to analyze production problems and drive quality improvements for existing and new products in our Penang facility. You will act as a bridge between R&D and production, ensuring smooth transitions and robust test documentation.

Responsibilities include analyzing defective components, performing release tests, supporting PLV activities, and training shop-floor staff on work and test instructions.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes production problems and suggests quality improvements for existing and new products.
• Analyzes locked and faulty components and communicates results to team leaders.
• Analyzes and resolves technical problems in production.
• Performs release tests of modified assemblies in production.
• Carries out necessary tests and documentation as part of the PLV.
• Is involved in the project transition from R&D to production.
• Performs rework of incorrect or faulty parts.
• Imparts technical know-how to production employees and creates awareness of quality.
• Trains production employees on work and test instructions.
