Our Client:

We are partnering with a Japanese based MNC that specializes in surface finishing solutions. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Manufacturing Engineer as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility:

  • Identify and solve production problems, and make sure solutions are working long-term.
  • Study current work processes to find areas for improvement.
  • Suggest and carry out cost-effective ideas to increase production output and keep product quality high.
  • Help design or improve tools, equipment, and systems to reduce manual work and support automation.
  • Make sure all work follows safety rules and meets environmental and legal requirements.
  • Assist with new equipment setup, including planning, testing, and launching.
  • Explore automation and digital tools to improve productivity and safety.
  • Work closely with different departments to support improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma methods.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Some knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methods.
  • Good problem-solving skills and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable using Excel and other tools for data tracking and reporting.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
