Job description

Job Summary:

The manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure product quality. The role supports production teams and ensures all manufacturing activities comply with industry standards and company policies.

Role & Responsibility

  • Delivery indices to meet OTD, WIP/DOI management, prioritization of urgent lots
  • Skill to automate and develop manufacturing indices to track delivery performance using Power BI or similar tools
  • Monitor and report on production metrics, capacity, and process performance
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and suggest improvements
  • Drive productivity improvement activities, together with engineering/IE team.
  • People engagement for 5S, QCC, people growth, supervisory competency development, teamwork with maintenance and process engineering teams
  • Quality: responsible for building a quality mindset in the manufacturing team.
  • Holding supervisors and operators accountable for following quality habits and work instructions (zero deviations)
  • Promote a zero silo mentality and teamwork with upstream, quality, engineering, and planning teams
  • Strategic thinking and competency to build an automation-ready manufacturing team
  • Participate in equipment evaluations and maintenance planning.
  • Aspiration to develop a Ship Quality Products on Time team

Requirement:

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IE, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or related field;
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles involved in strategic planning, process flow analysis, resource allocation/modelling, leadership techniques, and effective production.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing experience, especially in continuous improvement, eliminating waste, 5S, and visual management.
  • Able to think strategically and 'out-of-the-box' to develop vision and roadmap for function and drive change, with the ability to articulate and present clearly and concisely to management on strategy and plans.
  • Speedy & results-oriented, able to work & deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Open-minded, willing to accept new challenges and overcome them with a positive attitude.
  • Motivated team leader with a high level of ownership and great collaboration with stakeholders to achieve ONE Goal.
  • Attitude of close & detail follow-through to ensure successful operation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
