Functional Description:
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support tasks for the manufacturing department
Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of inventory counts, records, and reports.
Conducts manufacturing transactions in Oracle and InSite (Camstar)
Sustains Work Order maintenance
Creates, revises and maintains manufacturing documents such as MPIs, labels, SOPs, materials, training documentations, etc with the help of engineering or with supervision
Performs word processing, or typing to prepare correspondence, reports, statistical data and other forms
Prepares schedules, charts, graphs, or tables according to instructions
May act as liaison between departments for coordinating R&D, Engineering, and experimental builds; responsible for filing and data archiving of these builds
Conducts regular audits of manufacturing documents to ensure up-to-date versions and records are kept
May conduct training and time studies of manufacturing processes
This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
High School diploma/certificate or equivalent
Required Qualifications:
Basic computer knowledge with Excel & Microsoft word application knowledge
Language Skills:Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
