Qualifications

• Formal qualification or certification in manicure services from an accredited beauty school or equivalent training programme
• Proven experience as a Manicurist in a professional salon or beauty establishment

• Excellent hygiene and sanitation knowledge and practices

Responsibilities

About the role

Body Perfect Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and passionate Manicurist to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nail care services and creating a welcoming experience for our valued clients. As a Manicurist, you will be at the heart of our beauty services, contributing directly to client satisfaction and the reputation of our salon. Your expertise and attention to detail will help establish Body Perfect as a premier destination for nail care and beauty treatments.

What you'll be doing

Performing a full range of manicure services including nail shaping, cuticle care, polish application, and specialised treatments such as gel manicures and nail art

Consulting with clients to understand their preferences, skin conditions, and desired outcomes, and providing professional recommendations

Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation in accordance with industry regulations and salon protocols

Preparing and sterilising all tools, equipment, and workstations before and after each client appointment

Staying current with the latest nail care trends, techniques, and products to offer clients contemporary options

Building strong client relationships through excellent customer service, ensuring clients feel valued and comfortable

Managing appointment schedules efficiently and maintaining accurate client records and preferences

Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth salon operations and contribute to a positive working environment

Recommending and promoting nail care products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue

Adhering to all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe and professional workplace

What we're looking for

Formal qualification or certification in manicure services from an accredited beauty school or equivalent training programme

Proven experience as a Manicurist in a professional salon or beauty establishment, demonstrating a portfolio of work or examples of your services

Strong technical skills in nail care, including proficiency with various manicure techniques and nail art applications

Comprehensive knowledge of nail health, common nail conditions, and appropriate treatments and recommendations

Excellent understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, listen to client needs, and build lasting relationships

Attention to detail and precision in all work, ensuring consistent quality and client satisfaction

Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with strong work ethic and dedication to excellence

Ability to work well within a team whilst also managing client caseload independently

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred; additional languages are advantageous
