The opportunity

Lorna Whiston is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mandarin Tutor with Homework Supervision Experience to join our Day Care team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time member of our education and training staff, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and personal development of our students.

Key responsibilities

Provide individualised attention and support to students (aged 7-12), helping them to overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential

Assist students with their homework and ensure they complete assignments on time

Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school administrators

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve the quality of education

Participate in events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities

Assist the bus/van driver in safely picking up and dropping off children, ensuring a smooth and orderly process

Any ad-hoc task delegated by superior from time to time

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Education, related field and experience can also be considered

A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting

Strong knowledge of the Malaysian national curriculum (SJKC) and educational best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and parents

Creativity and flexibility in adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
