Job summary

Career Horizons is seeking a logistics professional in Malaysia to coordinate freight operations across air, sea, and land, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation. The role requires strong client management skills and a proactive, customer‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries within 24 hours, data entry, vendor invoicing, and maintaining strong client relationships while achieving departmental KPIs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage freight operations across Air, Sea, and Land transportation, including bookings with ocean carriers, co-loaders, truckers, and other service providers.
• Monitor and track shipment milestones to ensure timely delivery and proactively follow up on any delays or discrepancies.
• Work closely with the Business Development (BD) team to understand and fulfil customers’ operational requirements.
• Respond to customer emails and enquiries within 24 hours.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate, up-to-date shipment information in the operating system.
• Update AP/AR records and submit vendors’ invoices to the Finance Department for payment processing.
• Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed according to the relevant quotations and job files.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and achieve individual and departmental KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 policies and participate in internal and external audits when required.
• Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by management from time to time.
• Identify opportunities for business growth within the assigned client portfolio through upselling and cross-selling of logistics services.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, coordinating their operational requirements with the relevant internal teams.
• Prepare competitive quotations, tenders, and business proposals based on clients’ specific logistics requirements.
