Job description

Are you interested in making a positive impact on the environment, working on exciting projects, and elevating your career in environmental consulting? We are excited to offer a senior position in our dedicated team, Compliance Strategy and Transactions (CST). As a Managing Consultant, you will oversee projects, manage staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables on schedule and within budget. You will also support business development and staff growth.

In this role, you will understand client issues and apply your capabilities to solve problems and meet client needs. The position requires extensive experience in consulting services such as due diligence, compliance audits, management systems, and strategic advice. The team assists with high-profile mergers and acquisitions, property due diligence, environmental and safety compliance audits, and advising on industrial and commercial developments. You will work independently on projects involving environmental health and safety, ESG due diligence, permitting, site investigations, and post-acquisition services.

You will utilize advanced consulting and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and assist in implementation. Responsibilities include presenting findings and recommendations, structuring work, and managing team members.

Qualifications include a science or engineering degree, preferably with EHS capabilities, relevant consulting experience, and possibly previous industrial or commercial experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Contribute to proposal preparation and client discussions.
  • Develop existing and new client relationships.
  • Expand global sector markets and strengthen group relationships.

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

  • Lead and execute projects of moderate to large complexity.
  • Perform independent technical analyses and supervise others.
  • Innovate solutions for complex problems and conduct site visits.

PROJECT/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage complex projects, budgets, and practice areas.
  • Serve as team leader and participate in staff evaluations and training.

CLIENT SERVICES

  • Prepare and review technical documents and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Present technical concepts clearly and participate in seminars and conferences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, environmental, chemical) or science (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, toxicology, biology). Postgraduate qualifications are a plus. Minimum of 8 years in environmental, health, and safety consulting or related fields. Professional certifications such as Lead Auditor (Exemplar Global) are preferred.
