Job summary

HeiTech Padu Berhad invites applications for a Manager Technology & Fintech Audit based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. You will lead the internal audit function with a focus on technology infrastructure, fintech platforms, and information security, developing audit strategies and delivering governance insights.

You will supervise audit engagements, assess controls, identify risk gaps, and work with technology, compliance, and business teams to strengthen the organisation’s resilience and regulatory

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in accounting or auditing such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Proven experience in internal audit with focus on technology or fintech audits (IT/information systems).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and controls in fintech/technology sectors.

About the role

We are seeking a Manager Technology & Fintech Audit to join our audit team, based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This role is pivotal in establishing and managing our internal audit function with a specialisation in technology and fintech environments.

As a key member of our internal audit team, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive audit strategies, conducting rigorous assessments of technology systems and financial technology operations, and providing strategic insights to support organisational governance and risk management. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's control environment and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive internal audit plans specifically focused on technology infrastructure, information systems, and fintech operations
• Conduct detailed audit examinations of IT systems, applications, and financial technology platforms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over technology systems, data security, and fintech applications
• Identify vulnerabilities, risks, and control gaps within technology and fintech environments, and recommend remediation strategies
• Lead and supervise audit engagements, including scoping, fieldwork, and reporting phases
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports documenting findings, observations, and management recommendations
• Monitor management's implementation of audit recommendations and track remediation progress
• Liaise with technology, compliance, and business teams to gather information and understand system controls
• Stay current with emerging fintech trends, technology risks, and regulatory developments affecting the organisation
• Support the development of audit methodologies and best practices for technology and fintech audits
• Provide advisory services on technology governance and control frameworks

What we're looking for

• Professional qualification in accounting or auditing, such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent recognised qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years specialising in technology audit, IT audit, or fintech audit
• Strong understanding of technology systems, IT infrastructure, information security, and financial technology platforms
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the fintech and technology sectors
• Proven experience conducting IT and technology audits, including application controls, system security, and data governance assessments
• Excellent knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment techniques, and control frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify complex issues and develop practical solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and technical teams
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
• Certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISSP, or similar technology audit qualifications are highly desirable
• Project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously
