Job summary

Quintus Search in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks a Lead, Technology Audit to guide the audit team and report to the Head of Internal Audit. You will lead engagements, mentor staff, and manage technology and information security risks for the organization.

You will oversee audits, collaborate with Technology and Cybersecurity teams, and develop risk-based annual plans while ensuring compliance with standards such as BNM RMiT. Strong leadership, analytics, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field; professional certification preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional audit experience focusing on technology audit.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technology audit, in collaboration with Technology and Cybersecurity teams.
• Collaborate with the Head of Internal Audit to develop and implement risk-based annual internal audit plans and define audit scopes.
• Oversee the execution of audit plans, ensuring appropriate technical knowledge and experience are applied throughout the audit process.
• Ensure timely completion of technology audits in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. BNM RMiT).
• Stay up to date on emerging risks and innovation in the technology space, and communicate findings to management, audit committees, and external stakeholders.
• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders through objective engagements and constructive challenges to enhance internal controls.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and working groups, providing advisory support as required.

As the Lead, Technology Audit, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the technology audit team. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements, mentoring team members, and ensuring the effective management of technology and information security-related risks within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field. Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CISA, CISSP, GIAC, GSEC) preferred.


• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional audit experience in financial institutions or Big-4 external audit firms, with a focus on technology audit.


• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.


• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM RMiT) and internal control concepts.


• Prior experience in performing technology audit for cloud native systems and in-house modern web and mobile applications.


• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and report-writing skills.


• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as ACL, IDEA, PowerBI, Tableau preferred.


• Has recently trained in emerging technology (AI, cloud, cyber security) and associated risks.
