Get to know the role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment efforts and attract top talent to meet the organization’s staffing needs. This role involves overseeing the full recruitment cycle, developing effective sourcing strategies, collaborating with hiring managers, and enhancing employer branding. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Talent Acquisition strategies aligned with Jaya Grocer’s business objectives and growth plans.
Provide leadership and direction to the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring effective HR practices and processes are in place.
Partner with the HR Leadership team to address HR-related issues, support business needs, and drive organizational change.
Talent Acquisition & Management:
Lead Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a wide range of roles including front-line store, department supervisors/managers, warehouse and logistics staff, and corporate personnel.
Workforce Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with the operations management team and department heads to anticipate hiring needs based on business growth, seasonal trends, and turnover rates.
Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies: Design and implement targeted sourcing campaigns using job boards, social media, community outreach, employee referrals, and recruitment events to attract high-quality candidates, particularly for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
Employer Branding: Strengthen the company's employer brand by promoting its culture, career growth opportunities, and benefits through various marketing channels including in-store signage, digital platforms, and partnerships with educational institutions or community organizations.
Manage Recruitment Technology: Optimize use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline workflows, ensure consistent candidate experiences, and maintain accurate reporting and compliance records.
Candidate Pipeline Development: Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical roles to reduce time-to-fill and ensure business continuity during peak periods.
Interview & Selection Process: Standardize and support structured interview processes, including training hiring managers on interview techniques, bias mitigation, and selection best practices.
Hiring Event Management: Plan and execute job fairs, walk-in interview days, and open hiring events to quickly staff multiple locations during hiring surges.
Reporting & Metrics: Analyze recruitment data (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness) to assess performance and continuously improve hiring strategies.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all recruitment practices are compliant with labor laws, company policies, and equal employment opportunity regulations.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Integrate DE&I principles into sourcing and hiring strategies to support a diverse workforce reflective of the communities served.
Candidate Experience: Create a positive and efficient experience for candidates throughout the recruitment journey, from application to onboarding.
Team Management: To manage and develop the team of HR Recruiters.
You should have:
5+ years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience, preferably in retail or high-volume environments.
Strong understanding of retail labor market trends and seasonal workforce planning.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment marketing tools.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment.
Exceptional leadership and people management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and drive positive change.
Experience in the retail or grocery industry is an advantage.
Strong change management skills, with the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving results and addressing HR challenges.
Deep knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Proficiency in HR software and systems, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
