Reports To

Chief Operating Officer

Role Purpose

Work closely with the COO in developing and managing the annual and long-term business plans, providing analysis, reporting performance, and aligning strategies across divisions. Responsible for developing the Amal Network Plan (seasonal, annual, and long-term) and managing the COO's office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the COO to establish overall annual and long-term business plans, including strategy formulation and leading the strategic planning process to ensure timely and valuable plans.
  2. Lead cross-functional business planning and strategy development for all divisions by providing consultation, analysis, and translating insights into actionable plans.
  3. Develop network scheduling for seasonal, annual, and long-term periods, in collaboration with the Commercial Division, including conducting viability studies for optimal network planning, aircraft types, and overseeing slot applications.
  4. Act as a Control Tower for managing and developing KPIs, analyzing, and reporting weekly, monthly, and yearly performance, and facilitating cross-functional performance reviews.
  5. Conduct market research and analytical reviews, stay updated with the latest developments, and provide valuable market insights and outlooks to senior management.
  6. Serve as the focal point for Gexco and Board reporting, Amal Corporate Communications, and ad hoc projects.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Financial Management, or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.

  • Sound knowledge of the airline and aviation industry.
  • Good understanding of market research, data analytics, forecasting methodologies, and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative critical thinking.
  • Leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to formulate business plans within limited resources (budget).
  • Understanding of resource limitations and business dynamics, including rapid changes in requirements.
  • Ability to work under aggressive timelines and escalate issues and problems promptly.
