Job summary

Grab in Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Strategic Projects to lead end-to-end initiatives that drive user value and improve experiences. You will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects and work on-site at the Grab office, building strategic plans, deep-diving into processes, and coordinating with Product, Engineering, Analytics and Operations to deliver impactful changes.

You will conduct analyses to uncover customer insights and inform decisions, design workshops for process

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or in-house strategic projects/transformation.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive changes.
• Quantitative diagnosis with large data sets and translating results into recommendations.
• Experience in operational design, process management, and analysis.
• Fluency in data visualization and executive storytelling using Power BI and Superset.
• Track record of driving impact and delivering detailed results.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end—develop diagnosis, roadmap, and success metrics; align with regional and country leadership.
• Lead multi-country, cross-functional delivery with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations teams.
• Shape customer experience by design thinking and iterating product launches based on analyses.
• Ensure changes are assessed for impact on user trust, safety, and service quality before shipping.

Get to Know the Role

As a Manager, Strategic Projects, you will report into the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects and work onsite in the Grab office. You'll manage projects end-to-end to drive user value and experience through building strategic plans, deep diving into processes and existing setup, and working with cross‑functional teams to deliver changes that drive user experience. You'll also conduct analyses and uncover key customer insights through analytics to inform decision‑making process and make recommendations.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Own projects / problem areas end-to-end — develop the diagnosis, propose roadmap, and success metrics, then support regional and country leadership alignment behind it. Synthesise operational & behavioural data across markets to identify issues and resolutions
• Lead multi-country, cross-functional delivery — work with multiple teams across Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to launch solutions and ensure successful project outcomes
• Shape Customer Experience — design and deliver on improved user experiences by leading design thinking workshops, conducting analyses to identify root causes, and iterative product launches
• Hold the line on user safety and quality — ensure every proposed change is assessed for its effect on user trust, safety, and support quality before it ships

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 5 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or an in‑house strategic projects / transformation function, including time owning a programme end‑to‑end rather than a single workstream
• Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
• Quantitative diagnosis: you can structure the analysis, work with large operational datasets, and translate the output into recommendations
• Experience in operational design and setup - familiarity with process management and analysis
• Fluency with data visualisation and executive storytelling — and tools such as Power BI & Superset
• Demonstrated experience in driving impact and detailed delivery
