Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Director of GSA on the transfer of statutory accounting activities and local reporting from each operating entity to the Finance Center of Excellence (FCOE).
- Own Statutory Accounting for respective areas and partner with Regional Accounting Controllers, leading Statutory Accounting and local Reporting requirements for their areas of responsibility.
- Lead and mentor the team in respective areas.
- Prepare IFRS and/or local GAAP financial statements and notes, management reports, and other related documents required for local statutory reporting for a group of countries, as well as review work done by team members to ensure correct identification and calculation of adjustments from US GAAP to Local GAAP.
- Partner with global functional teams to support required accounting activities including Tax Accounting (Tax Analysis, Intercompany, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, etc.).
- Work with the team to capture the impact of new accounting standards, changes in accounting policies, and non-GAAP policies on statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure all disclosures are properly included in the financial statements.
- Manage personnel, identifying training for new team members as required.
- Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and ensure all processes and procedures are fully documented.
- Ensure adherence to intercompany pricing agreements and other intercompany accounts.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to deliver required support.
- Support NXP Finance transformation activities – driving implementation of tools to enhance financial reporting.
Job Qualifications
- 10 years of working experience in a Statutory Accounting/International Accounting role across different finance management roles.
- Qualified accountant (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS & local GAAP; audit background would be helpful.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work hands-on to support the team and collaborate across the global workforce.
- SAP ERP knowledge.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
