Job Description

The incumbent will be in Global Centre of Excellence Team working together with APAC staff on a day-to-day basis as a collaborative team player, working seamlessly within the finance department and across various departments and countries, forming strong connections with local liaisons.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise team and oversee financial close process.
  2. Ensure all financial activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guidelines and policies.
  3. Financial activities include but are not limited to:
    1. Preparation and posting of general ledger related entries (i.e. invoicing, interco).
    2. Monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities and reporting. This includes preparation of financial statements, GST reporting and tax computation.
    3. Preparation of monthly reconciliation and schedules, reconciling group-level balances and facilitating prompt resolution of any discrepancies.
    4. Analysis of accounts.
  4. Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial transactions.
  5. Work closely with all stakeholders and as a team with other team members to ensure end deliverables and KPI are met.
  6. Provide support for audit and tax related matters.
  7. Perform all other related tasks assigned from time to time.
  8. Coordinate with external auditors to meet external audit deadlines.
  9. Assist in the creation and implementation of new procedures and features to streamline processes.
  10. Serve as the subject matter expert for relevant issues in communications with the business sites.
  11. Manage and assist in developing innovative and creative solutions that will help to resolve or minimize potential risk for our business sites.
Requirements
  1. Degree holder in accounting and/or finance or professional qualifications.
  2. At least 7 years of working experience including 2+ years of management experience in a similar capacity within a shared services set-up, preferably with experience in stockbroking/asset management background.
  3. Experience in the financial industry includes sound technical knowledge/experience in Stockbroking/Asset Management Services.
  4. Meticulous, analytical and a high degree of agility.
  5. Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  7. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
