Job Description

The incumbent will be part of the Global Centre of Excellence Team, working collaboratively with APAC staff on a day-to-day basis, seamlessly within the finance department and across various departments and countries, forming strong connections with local liaisons.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team and oversee the financial close process.
  • Ensure all financial activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timelines, guidelines, and policies.
  • Financial activities include but are not limited to:
    • Preparation and posting of general ledger entries (e.g., invoicing, intercompany transactions)
    • Monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities and reporting, including financial statements, GST reporting, and tax computation.
    • Preparation of monthly reconciliations and schedules, reconciling group-level balances, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
    • Analysis of accounts.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions. Work closely with all stakeholders and team members to meet deliverables and KPIs. Support audit and tax-related matters. Coordinate with external auditors to meet audit deadlines. Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to streamline processes. Serve as a subject matter expert and develop innovative solutions to minimize business risks.

Requirements
  • Degree in accounting and/or finance or professional qualifications.
  • At least 7 years of experience, including 2+ years in management within a shared services setup, preferably in stockbroking or asset management.
  • Experience in the financial industry with sound technical knowledge in stockbroking/asset management services.
  • Meticulous, analytical, and highly adaptable.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to meet tight deadlines.
