The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly within construction, hardware, or building material sectors, and a proven track record of achieving targets. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key client relationships, and leading a sales team to success.
Job Description
Responsible for Sales & Marketing activities for Building Materials (General & Architectural Products) in construction industry within Malaysia.
To achieve / exceed sales budget given by following up on customer’s requirements/ orders progress and maintaining good relationship with customers.
To compile reports on products, market trends, competitors' analysis to stay ahead in the industry.
To expand customer base by generating new key accounts.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business targets.
Identify and grow new business opportunities in the building materials market.
Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, contractors, and distributors.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives.
Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance, and marketing) to ensure smooth sales operations.
To gain a better market share by providing suitable solutions to the customers.
To ensure timely collection.
Any other task assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction, or a related field.
At least 7 years of proven sales experience in the building materials or construction industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
A results-driven mindset with a passion for business growth.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is an added advantage.
Possession of a valid driving license is preferred.
Good interpersonal skills, customer service and negotiation skills, self-motivated, goal oriented and result driven.
Possess own transport and willing to travel.
Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines.
Able to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
