Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our risk and compliance professionals focus on maintaining regulatory compliance and managing risks for clients. They provide advice and solutions to help organizations navigate complex regulatory landscapes and enhance internal controls to mitigate risks effectively.

As a risk management generalist, you will support teams across various risk and compliance areas. The role as R&Q Business Partner for Advisory (Deals & Consulting) is vital for ensuring adherence to PwC standards and regulations, fostering a risk-aware culture, and maintaining high standards of ethics and quality in our services in Malaysia and Vietnam. You will collaborate with engagement teams, partners, and leadership to ensure compliance and quality in client engagements.

You will also serve as Chief of Staff to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), supporting strategic initiatives and key projects.

Key Responsibilities
R&Q Business Partner for Deals & Consulting
  • Oversee the quality management systems and risk processes for PwC Malaysia and Vietnam Advisory services.
  • Develop annual risk and quality plans based on risk analysis.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with relevant risk management policies and local regulations.
  • Ensure policies and processes support quality service delivery meeting stakeholder expectations and standards.
  • Lead training and communication initiatives to promote risk awareness and compliance.
  • Conduct quality reviews and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Advise engagement teams on risk management, conflicts, independence, and contractual risks.
  • Review engagements for compliance and provide feedback.
  • Lead risk management meetings and prepare reports for leadership.
Chief of Staff to the CRO
  • Collaborate with the CRO on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Prepare communications and manage team performance and resource allocation.
  • Oversee key projects ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Law, or related fields.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAEW/ACCA, CPA/CA Australia, or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of experience in professional services, risk management, or compliance.
  • Leadership experience managing teams and working with senior management.
  • Deep understanding of legal risks, contractual clauses, and risk frameworks.
  • Experience managing projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of risk management standards, regulations, and independence requirements.
