We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our Risk, Strategy & Analytics (RSA) team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Bank’s strategic risk management initiatives, capital adequacy assessments, and governance activities. As a key team member, you will contribute to ensuring the Bank maintains a robust risk posture and sufficient capital to support its business growth, aligning with regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the implementation of strategic risk and capital management initiatives across the Bank.
Review and enhance key frameworks, policies, and methodologies related to:

Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
Internal Capital Target (ICT)
Group Stress Testing

Facilitate the development, review, and monthly monitoring of the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS).

Assess capital adequacy to ensure efficient and effective utilization aligned with the Bank’s risk profile.

Support risk evaluation of new products and services.

Review Compliance Self-Testing Matrix (STM) and Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA).

Coordinate and manage projects under the RSA function, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.

Provide strategic risk insights and assessments in the annual budgeting and business planning process.

Enhance the Bank’s internal control environment by leveraging best practices in risk governance.

Ensure timely and accurate internal and external reporting on strategic risk and capital matters.

Serve as liaison for stakeholder engagement on capital planning, ICAAP, and related projects.

Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and the Bank’s risk appetite adherence.

Develop and maintain risk-related frameworks using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

Lead and support ICAAP enhancements during merger integration phases.

Participate in the integration of Climate Risk Management & Scenario Analysis (CRMSA) in line with BNM’s Policy Document.

Regularly update the Stress Testing Framework, including assumptions and parameters.

Collaborate with Finance on comprehensive capital management plans, ensuring alignment with risk strategy.

Co-own project planning, monitoring, and reporting for RSA-led initiatives.

Lead and coordinate the redesign and reporting of key dashboards and sectoral reports to senior management and the Board.

Oversee the redesign and harmonization of the BPMB Authority Matrix, including annual reviews and updates.

Support RSA's annual strategic planning, budgeting, and tactical initiatives.

Engage in continuous learning and development, including pursuing the AICB Chartered Banker certification.

Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions and provide capacity-building support within the team.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management within financial institutions.
Strong understanding of capital management, Basel regulatory requirements, and ICAAP processes.
Proven project management capabilities, with experience in managing cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels.
Proficient in risk control tools, stress testing, capital planning, and risk reporting.
