The successful candidate will develop robust risk frameworks, manage risk registers, and report trends to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certification in risk management (ERM, CRISC or equivalent).
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive risk management experience in large or complex organisations.
• Proven ability to develop and implement risk frameworks and policies.
• Strong risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the industry.
• Proficiency with risk management tools and software platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with actionable insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor teams.

About the role

FELDA Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manager Risk Management to join our organisation on a full-time basis. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre and offers a strategic opportunity to lead and develop our risk management function. As Manager Risk Management, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organisation, ensuring that we operate in a controlled environment whilst supporting our business objectives. This position is fundamental to protecting the organisation's assets, reputation, and stakeholder interests through the implementation of robust risk management frameworks and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks across the organisation
• Identifying, analysing, and assessing risks that could impact the achievement of organisational objectives and strategic goals
• Creating and maintaining risk registers and heat maps to monitor risk exposure and trends
• Designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce identified risks to acceptable levels
• Conducting regular risk assessments and compliance reviews across business units and operations
• Providing risk management training and guidance to staff at all levels to build a risk-aware culture
• Reporting on risk status, trends, and key risk indicators to senior management and the board
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including audit, compliance, and legal teams, to ensure alignment on risk management initiatives
• Monitoring changes in the regulatory environment and updating risk management practices accordingly
• Leading incident response and business continuity planning efforts

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Professional certification in risk management, such as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), CRISC, or equivalent recognised qualification
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in risk management or a related field, preferably within a large or complex organisation
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and policies
• Strong understanding of risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring methodologies
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulatory standards relevant to your industry
• Proficiency in risk management tools and software platforms
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex risks into actionable insights
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Leadership capability and experience managing and mentoring teams
• Experience in business continuity planning and incident management is highly desirable
• Knowledge of the Malaysian regulatory environment and industry-specific risk considerations is an advantage
