The Manager, Responsible Sourcing Operations Standards & Strategy, plays a critical role in advancing VF Corporation’s global responsible sourcing goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this position supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of VF’s responsible sourcing standards, training programs, and third-party oversight. The role requires an analytical thinker with strong operational capabilities, who can collaborate across global teams, engage with external partners, and ensure consistent execution of compliance protocols. Job Title: Manager, Responsible Sourcing Operations Standards & Strategy (Global Factory Compliance and Sustainability)

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

Global Compliance Standards and Strategy Support

  • Support the Sr. Manager, Responsible Sourcing Operations Standards & Strategy by providing input, subject matter expertise, and data to inform VF’s compliance standards and strategic direction.
  • Develop and maintain clear process flows and supporting documentation for both internal and external stakeholders, aligned with updates to the factory compliance program and risk framework.
  • Create and manage comprehensive training resources and an annual training plan for the global Responsible Sourcing Operations team.
  • Deliver training sessions on key topics such as compliance program updates, process changes, and knowledge-building initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent global understanding and adherence to standardized compliance processes.
  • Advise the Sr. Manager and other internal stakeholders on tools, assessment methodologies, policies, procedures, and audit-related incidents, especially in complex or nuanced situations requiring collaborative decision-making.

3rd Party and Industry Programs Oversight

  • Identify and evaluate 3rd party audit firms, industry programs, and brand audits for potential integration into VF’s compliance framework.
  • Provide clear, data-driven recommendations that demonstrate how selected partners reduce risk, improve efficiency, or deliver cost savings.
  • Proactively engage with 3rd party organizations, industry groups, and peer brands to:
  • Stay current on trends and best practices that can strengthen VF’s internal compliance program.
  • Collaborate on shared challenges and cross-brand initiatives.
  • Enhance the integrity and quality of third-party audits, including auditor qualifications and program scope.
  • Build trust in external audit processes and reduce compliance risk.
  • Develop and implement a robust protocol for quality checks of 3rd party audit providers.
  • Plan and maintain a schedule of shadow audits to monitor 3rd party performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communicating the shadow audit schedule with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with industry groups to promote audit harmonization across the sector, aiming to:
  • Reduce audit fatigue for suppliers.
  • Improve operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen overall risk mitigation.
  • Provide guidance to Responsible Sourcing Operations teams on 3rd party audit processes, management, and quality assurance.
  • Liaise with the S&R Data Team to coordinate 3rd party audit scheduling, performance tracking, and quality reviews.

Training and Capacity Building

  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and retrieval of all compliance-related documentation, including audit reports, communication records, and training materials, in accordance with established protocols and data retention policies.
  • Assist the Regional Leaders in the process of selecting, onboarding, and providing ongoing education on compliance-related subjects and tasks.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to stay aware of changes, needs, challenges, and opportunities in VF.
  • Support Sr. Manager, Responsible Sourcing Operations Standards & Strategy on engagement with industry programs initiatives and benchmark with other brands.
  • Regularly and proactively engage with internal stakeholders on KPIs, program updates, performance reporting, and supplier engagement.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Collaborate with the S&R Data Team and the Sr. Manager, Responsible Sourcing Operations Standards & Strategy to prepare and contribute to quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc compliance reports for Senior Leadership, Sourcing Teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Design and implement performance scorecards for 3rd party organizations, establishing clear evaluation criteria and communicating expectations to enable meaningful comparisons between projected and actual outcomes.
  • Conduct regular spot checks on 3rd party audit reports to assess quality, consistency, and completeness in alignment with VF’s standards.
  • Follow up with 3rd party providers to address discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support additional data analysis and reporting needs as they arise.

  • 5+ years Corporate Social responsibility or Social Auditing experience or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
  • Minimum Degree Held: BA/BS in business/University graduate/Engineering.
  • Subject Expert In: Law, Labor and Social Security, Health, Safety and Environmental auditing.
  • Corporate responsibility, international business, apparel, or footwear experience preferred.
  • Well-developed English language skills; reading, writing, and speaking; proficiency on other language than English a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
