Job description

We are Malaysia’s leading Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) and we are aggressively expanding our business, looking for dynamic, driven, and motivated individuals to join our team. Our Direct-To-Consumer segment (D2C) is one of our fastest growing product areas, with numerous expansion plans and innovative ideas.

Mission/Purpose of the position:

  1. To ensure the Group’s business activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the operations of a Credit Reporting Agency in Malaysia.
  2. To promote a culture of compliance, effectively mitigate regulatory risks, and uphold the Group's integrity and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Act, Section 17A, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act, ISO 27001, and any other applicable laws and guidelines.
  • Group-Level Compliance Support: Support the group’s compliance functions and standardize compliance policies across entities.
  • Governance: Develop, review, and implement policies to ensure regulatory compliance. Provide recommendations to address internal control weaknesses and ensure timely remediation.
  • Audit, Monitoring & Reporting: Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance, facilitate rectifications, and monitor risks.
  • Compliance Awareness: Promote a strong compliance culture within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal teams and external regulators to ensure seamless compliance and issue resolution.
  • Incident Management: Lead investigations into compliance breaches, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Others: Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by the Department or instructed by the General Manager/HOD.

Education/Certification:

  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Qualifications in regulatory or compliance fields are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial, regulatory compliance, or process improvement environments.

Professional Experience:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, capable of handling multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity, detail-oriented, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
  • Experience dealing with regulatory bodies is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Good understanding of Finance, Accounting, or Credit Reporting business.
