Manager, Recreation & Leisure

Job Scope:

1. Responsible for the planning and execution of all in-house and out-door activities for the residents.

2. Responsible for preparing a calendar of events that engage the residents’ in excursions and trips.

3. Responsible for the operations and up-keep of all recreational facilities.

4. Responsible for the coordination of special events for the residents such as Birthdays, Festive Celebration, Anniversaries, etc.

5. Responsible for the coordination of paid events from Residents or Guests such as Hosted birthday party by a family member for a residence, etc.

6. Responsible for the management of the recreation department.

7. To review and update the policy from time to time to include new initiatives and on-going developments in Sunway Sanctuary.

8. Plan and develop departmental goals and objectives.

9. To monitor departments’ performance accordingly (i.e. monitoring of departmental budget/expenses, cost containment and cost cutting strategies).

10. Implement and monitor departmental activities projects and programs.

11. To create new improvement initiatives and strengthen interdepartmental relationship to enhance on the processes to provide better customer experiences for the customers.

Job Requirement:

1. At Least Diploma or Degree in Sports Science/Events Management/Marketing/Corporate Comms or related field.

2. Minimum7 years of experiencein event planning, recreational program development, or community engagement activities.

3. Background inevent services, marketing & communications (event organizing), or team-building trainingpreferred.

4. Prior experience in hospitality, wellness, or lifestyle-related industries is an added advantage.

5. Comfortable working with people ofvarious age groups(e.g., elderly, mothers, families).

6. Able to design and implementunique, engaging, and age-appropriaterecreational programs.

7. Creativity in developingsocial, wellness, and entertainment activitiesthat enhance the residents’ experience.

8. Genuine enthusiasm forcreating positive experiencesthrough recreation and leisure.

9. Understanding ofwellness, fitness, and social engagement trendsto align activities with residents' interests.
