A leading company in the energy sector is looking for a dedicated Cost Control Specialist to support its global projects. The role involves managing budgets, implementing cost control strategies, and utilizing ERP systems for project management. Candidates should have a strong educational background in engineering or finance and possess excellent analytical skills to ensure project financial health.
JOB PURPOSE
Supporting our global projects by ensuring financial discipline, timely execution, and strategic resource allocation. This position demands a blend of expertise in cost control, project scheduling, budget management, and proficiency in system.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Develop and implement project cost control strategies to ensure projects are completed within budget.
2. Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for clear project tracking and management.
3. Read and interpret project drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
4. Utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, for creating projects, cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
5. Prepare and update project dashboards for real-time monitoring of project financial performance.
6. Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather project data and cost inputs.
7. Monitor project expenditures against the budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
8. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives.
9. Work closely with finance and project management teams to ensure accuracy.
10. Regularly update project plans and budgets as required.
11. Develop and implement WBS structures within SAP for new and ongoing projects.
12. Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly project reports.
13. Ensure that all documents are current, accurately categorized, and easily accessible.
