A leading Malaysian brand in health and wellness seeks a Product Marketing Manager. This role involves managing marketing activities, developing strategies for product launches, and monitoring sales performance to meet growth targets. Ideal candidates will have experience in FMCG, particularly in health food, and strong communication skills.
About the role
To manage the business performance, budgets and all marketing activities of the assigned product portfolio to meet set objectives and KPI targets of sales target.
What you'll be doing
To develop marketing strategies and integrated marketing plan to achieve the set growth, market share and profitability targets for the assigned product group.
To closely monitor the sales performances of new product and conduct analysis on the promotion and activity effectiveness vs. set targets on a monthly basis for review and control and propose recommendations for improvement when necessary.
To develop product concept, marketing positioning & branding for new products as and when required.
To gather field or market intelligence in order to initiate appropriate recommendations in marketing proposals to HOD with the aim to improve the assigned product portfolio sales performance (from time to time).
To monitor the assigned product portfolio performance and to propose appropriate recommendation to HOD to boost, fine-tune on the product performance or the product mix in the product portfolio.
Conduct panel test on new products, market research, competitors analysis and solicit relevant information to prepare a solid Product presentation for both new and existing products, and to update it from time to time to ensure relevance and as deemed required.
To plan for and monitor the preparation work on the new product launch 6 months prior to the launch; including the marketing collaterals, launching plans, promotions, sales forecast and review performance.
To assist in preparing annual budgets and exercise and monitoring for assigned product portfolio.
To work closely with all other cross-functional departments i.e. Marketing Incentive & Promotion, Marketing Communication, Digital Marketing, GIT, Sales processing, Data Processing, Customer Service, etc. to ensure smooth execution of plans and operational support.
Any other duties & tasks, which may be assigned by the HOD from time to time.
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing, preferably within the health food or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
Strong understanding of the health and nutrition landscape, including industry regulations and emerging trends
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product information into compelling marketing content
Experience planning and organizing for new product launches and managing existing product
Exposure in the MLM Industry would be an added advantage
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
