Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Leads to drive the product agenda, focusing on OPEX, lending product enhancements, and credit program development.
• Lead as execution owner for OPEX product initiatives, ensuring timely assessment, prioritisation, and delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend new products, processes, and credit program improvements to enhance customer experience and portfolio growth.
• Support development and enhancement of lending products, credit programs, financing propositions, and customer value propositions.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives including business case development, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
• Collaborate with Business, Credit, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and PMO teams to drive alignment and resolve challenges.
• Establish governance across initiatives by monitoring plans, milestones, risks, issues, and actions; provide updates to management.
• Analyse portfolio performance, customer insights, market developments, and operational metrics to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare business cases, management papers, and steering committee updates to support governance and decisions.
• Serve as subject matter expert for lending products and credit programs, guiding strategic initiatives.
• Undertake ad hoc projects and special assignments as directed.

This role serves as a key partner to the Head of Products in driving the Business Banking Operational Excellence (OPEX) project agenda. The role will be responsible for leading and executing product-related initiatives arising from the OPEX, driving product and credit program enhancements, identifying new improvement opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic business priorities across the lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the respective Product Leads to drive the product agenda and execute strategic initiatives, with a primary focus on OPEX, lending product enhancements, and credit program development.
• Act as the lead coordinator and execution owner for product-related initiatives identified under the OPEX workstream, ensuring initiatives are effectively assessed, prioritized, implemented, and delivered within agreed timelines.
• Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend new products, process, and credit program improvement opportunities that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, portfolio performance, and business growth.
• Support the development, review, and enhancement of lending products, credit programs, financing propositions, and customer value propositions to strengthen competitiveness and drive portfolio growth.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of approved initiatives, including business case development, requirement gathering, stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
• Work closely with stakeholders across Business, Credit, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and PMO teams to drive alignment, resolve implementation challenges, and ensure timely decision-making and execution.
• Establish and maintain effective governance across initiatives by monitoring project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items, while providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Analyse portfolio performance, customer insights, market developments, and operational metrics to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and strategic recommendations for product and credit program enhancements.
• Prepare business cases, management papers, steering committee presentations, and project status updates to support governance forums and senior management decision-making.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for lending products and credit programs, providing guidance and support for strategic initiatives, and projects across Business Banking.
• Undertake ad hoc projects, business initiatives, and special assignments as directed by the supervisor.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Banking, SME Banking, Commercial Banking, Retail Lending, or related financial services roles, with sound knowledge of lending products, credit assessment, and credit program structures.
