Job Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for the development, enhancement, implementation, and management of BPMB Group's products and programs. This includes conceptualizing new product offerings, refining existing solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering internal knowledge through training and support. The role also encompasses conducting periodic reviews, managing risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive product success and innovation.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development
- Spearhead the development of new products by preparing comprehensive proposal papers for BPMB Group, including risk materiality assessments, gap analyses, and relevant documentation for internal and external approvals.
- Collaborate with management councils and regulatory authorities to secure necessary endorsements for new initiatives.
Product Enhancement
- Lead reviews and propose enhancements to existing products and programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal governance policies.
- Design and implement new processes to optimize operational efficiency and meet evolving market demands.
Product Management
- Conduct regular reviews of policies, procedures, and compliance measures associated with products to ensure timely updates and alignment with best practices.
- Oversee operational workflows and processes, making improvements to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
Training and Support
- Develop and deliver training sessions to internal teams, ensuring a deep understanding of product-related matters.
- Provide ongoing support across all BPMB functions, including compliance, system requirements, documentation, and monthly product performance reporting.
System Development and Risk Management
- Support the development and user testing of system parameters for products and programs to ensure seamless functionality.
- Act as the Dedicated Operation Risk Liaison Officer (ORLO), addressing risk management matters related to product development activities.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the banking industry with a proven track record in product development and management, particularly in commercial and corporate banking products (e.g., financing, treasury, and trade products).
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of both Islamic and Conventional Banking products and their associated risks.
- Strong expertise in lending requirements, credit documentation, processes, credit monitoring, and systems for loans and collateral management.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to think strategically and analyze complex scenarios.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, organization, and multitasking.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, results-oriented, and adept at problem-solving
