A leading food and beverage company in Malaysia seeks a dynamic Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will manage procurement processes for indirect materials and services, ensuring effective budget management and supplier negotiations. · To manage procurement of indirect materials and services (main categories) required by the company.
· To manage budget versus purchases, which have a significant impact on the company’s P&L.
· A sole contributor to the category.
Key Accountabilities :
· Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the following main indirect categories (CAPEX / OPEX):
a) Logistic and Warehousing
b) Company IT purchases on subscription, equipment, licensing, etc.
- Work closely with Digital Solution and Technology team to procure software or hardware.
c) Any purchase activities relevant to the category scope.
· Evaluate and negotiate purchases of indirect materials and services at competitive prices to achieve cost savings/avoidance.
· Manage contract renewals, terminations, and formalization of new contracts in close liaison with stakeholders, suppliers, and Group Legal.
· Ensure contracts, remuneration, and evaluation models promote healthy partnerships between F&N and suppliers/service providers, balancing price, quality, relationship, and service.
· Manage suppliers to ensure smooth supply of goods and services and minimize supply risks by developing multiple suppliers for critical materials or services.
· Monitor supplier performance, conduct annual vendor evaluations, and address non-conformance issues.
· Implement procurement strategies aligned with corporate strategies and stakeholder initiatives, such as cost management and process improvements.
· Ensure procurement processes comply with Procurement’s Policy and SOP, as well as Company Policy, and seek continuous process improvements.
· Approve purchase orders according to the company's approval hierarchy.
· Fulfill stakeholders’ requirements, including product specifications, service levels, budget, and timelines, managing complex multi-party relationships affecting the business.
· Conduct tender exercises based on Procurement Policy for new appointments or contract renewals.
· Maintain transportation and freight rates in SAP system.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders on procurement strategies for long-term business benefit.
· Be a fast-paced, independent worker, capable of functioning as a sole contributor.
