THE ROLE
As a Procurement Manager you are an integral part of our team, supporting our Country Lead to acquire goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively. Your role will be: Procurement Manager for Marketing and Professional Services Category.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy development to supplier relationship management.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Strategic Procurement:
Developing and implementing effective tactical and strategic procurement strategies, including the development of category plans, aligned with organisational goals, focusing on cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and value maximisation.
Working with Procurement Managers for Marketing and Professional Services, from all of our other Markets to share lessons and learning and apply industry best practise into your strategies and participate in group tenders for key services such as Media, Creative Agencies and Print.
Provide excellent business partnering support and stakeholder management to stakeholders at function and senior executive levels.
Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess market conditions, review and assess spend patterns and forecast price trends.
Working to procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
Develop and implement the RFQ’s, RFX’s, eAuctions etc for procurements including managing the evaluation and negotiation processes.
Monitoring key performance indicators to track procurement efficiency and effectiveness, and track deliverables.
Building and nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
Managing supplier performance, addressing issues promptly, and conducting regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence:
Managing and delivery against procurement targets and tracking performance against the team goals.
Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs and demonstrating effective engagement.
Staying abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements in procurement to drive innovation and process improvement.
Marketing and Communication Skills:
Championing the procurement process discussion internally through effective communications, creating awareness around the value procurement brings to the business, and enhancing the department's visibility and strategic impact.
Developing quarterly category plan presentations that clearly communicate the strategic direction, cost savings, and innovation brought by procurement to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Applying marketing and professional service principles to procurement communications, including market positioning and stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure alignment between procurement efforts and business objectives.
Managing supplier relationships with a marketing mindset, utilizing joint marketing initiatives and campaigns to leverage the strengths of both procurement and suppliers in driving business growth.

The professional experience you will need are:
The leadership and technical skills set out in our Non-Trade Procurement People Standards.
5+ years procurement experience with a desire to continue your career growth.
Experience of working in teams and also able to follow end to end procurement process including contract management and negotiation.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to be a good problem solver with excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
Pro- active, self-motivated, well-organized, efficient and ability to work under pressure.
Achievement and goal oriented with good organization skills, ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Strong computer literacy skills with excellent MS Office skills.
Ideal
CIPS Member: Professional certification in procurement (CIPS) preferred.
Experience working in a procurement team and/or within retail and multi-market environments.
Experience with GEP P2P or similar technology
