Trim and Probe Process Engineering Manager

Leading a team Process Engineers and technicians responsible to optimize trim and probe process, improve yield in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving yield, operation efficiency, throughput, data quality, process simplification meeting organization goals and manages quality excursions.

This role collaborates closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Equipment Engineering, Planning, and cross sites for BKM practices.

Leading a team of Program Managers managing complex and high focus projects ie MES migration, Probe resiliency, Fab resiliency, site to site transfer, New Production qualification.

This leadership role demands strategic thinking, technical depth, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coaching a team of Engineers, Technicians, focused on wafer sort operations
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement which includes Process standardization, Process simplification, defect yield loss reduction, cost savings projects that collaborate with cross functional team
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process issues and excursions
  • Lead and manage complex and high focus projects ie MES migration, Probe resiliency, Fab resiliency, site to site transfer, New Production qualification.
  • Lead Change Control Board
  • Manage internal, external customer audit, ensure compliance with industry standards, ESD protocols, and quality requirements (e.g., ISO, IATF).
  • Collaborates closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Equipment Engineering, Planning, and cross sites for BKM practices.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in EE/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics / Material Science or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 10 years working experiences in high volume semiconductor environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a technical or engineering management role
  • Trim and Probe/ wafer sort or Final test exposure will be added advantage
  • Excel in leading high focus project across sites
  • Proven track record of process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Soft Skill

  • Strong knowledge in Control Plan, FMEA, OCAP, SPC, QMS, APQP and 8D Problem Solving Skills method.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies
  • Expert in data analysis tool MiniTab or JMP, DOE knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Certified with Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or Program Management Professional (PMP) will be added advantages
