A leading company seeks a Manager for Production Planning and Inventory Control in Negeri Sembilan. Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) based on customer forecasts, sales orders, and inventory targets.
Plan and monitor production activities for blow and injection molding machines to meet delivery deadlines and reduce downtime.
Coordinate with Production, Sales, and Maintenance departments to align planning with machine capacity and maintenance schedules.
Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) levels and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing priorities.
Ensure overall production plan meet the delivery schedule as per agreed with customer.
Track unplanned changes and adjust plans to meet customer delivery commitments.
Inventory Control
Oversee raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
Minimize inventory holding costs while ensuring material availability for uninterrupted production.
Implement and enforce inventory accuracy processes, including regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
Monitor material availability, production progress, and inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.
Manage all planning and inventory-related activities using SAP (PP, MM, and WM modules).
Ensure accurate data entry and reporting in SAP, including BOMs, routings, and material masters.
Analyse SAP-generated reports to drive decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Leadership & Compliance
Lead and develop a team of planners and inventory controllers.
Ensure full compliance with internal SOPs, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
Generate and present PPIC performance metrics (e.g., OTIF, inventory turns, forecast accuracy) to management.
Prepare weekly updates and monthly updates for top management.
Requirements
Leadership experience: minimum experience of 3-5 years of 2-3 pax team management and interactions with Senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or any field.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management or operations.
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
Good English written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
Problem-solving and negotiation.
Project Management.
