The Manager, Event & Sales is a key commercial driver for Resorts World Awana, responsible for maximizing event‑led revenue and positioning the resort as a preferred destination for corporate, leisure, and signature events. This role owns the end‑to‑end sales cycle and event delivery, aggressively driving conversion, yield optimization, and repeat business while ensuring events are executed to Resorts World Awana’s service and brand standards. The position plays a strategic role in translating destination assets into measurable revenue growth and value per square foot.
Own and drive event‑related revenue for Resorts World Awana, with clear accountability for achieving and exceeding assigned sales targets.
Proactively source, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across corporate, MICE, leisure, and destination‑led events.
Develop high‑yield event packages by leveraging resort assets including accommodation, F&B venues, outdoor spaces, and experiential offerings.
Manage the full sales funnel from lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and closing.
Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities to maximize total event value and revenue per booking.
Position Resorts World Awana as a compelling destination resort for events through strategic client engagement and tailored solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, travel partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Actively identify emerging market segments, seasonal opportunities, and signature event concepts that drive demand and occupancy.
Support broader commercial strategies that enhance the resort’s market positioning and long‑term asset value.
Lead the end‑to‑end planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring alignment between client expectations, operational feasibility, and commercial outcomes.
Coordinate cross‑functionally with operations, F&B, marketing, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Oversee event budgets, timelines, contracts, and on‑site execution to ensure cost control and margin optimization.
Manage on‑ground execution to ensure service excellence, guest satisfaction, and brand consistency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing consultative, solutions‑driven engagement.
Translate client objectives into customized event experiences that deliver strong commercial returns and memorable destination experiences.
Conduct post‑event reviews to capture insights, drive repeat business, and strengthen long‑term client relationships.
Track, analyze, and report sales performance, conversion rates, event profitability, and pipeline health.
Provide commercial insights and recommendations to management on market trends, demand patterns, and revenue optimization opportunities.
Guide and support junior team members or event coordinators to ensure consistent sales discipline and execution standards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in event sales, MICE, hospitality sales, or destination resort operations, with proven revenue responsibility.
Demonstrated track record in aggressive sales growth, deal closing, and revenue achievement.
Strong understanding of destination resort dynamics, MICE business, and experiential event offerings.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly commercial mindset with strong analytical and pipeline management capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment and work flexible hours as required by business demands.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM / sales tracking systems is preferred.
