Job Summary:

Assist the HOD in ensuring efficient and prompt handling of all claims, maintaining compliance and achieving KPIs for smooth daily operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service through efficient claims processes including registration, offers, payments, complaints, and review of claim files.
  • Appoint adjusters, solicitors, or investigators based on sound decision-making.
  • Approve claims and payments, and respond to BNM/FMB/PIAMs within authority limits.
  • Maintain good relationships with service providers, staff, colleagues, agents, and insurers.
  • Take accountability for considering business and regulatory risks and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, emerging threats, and technologies to better manage risks.
  • Identify potential concerns or risks and share best practices proactively.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required.

The Person:

  • Degree in an insurance-related field; insurance qualifications such as LOMA and AMII are essential.
  • At least 10 years of experience in insurance with knowledge of claims management.
  • Strong investigation skills and comprehensive claims management knowledge.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills.
  • High integrity, accountability, and a positive team attitude.
  • Proactive in improving processes and adaptable to change.
