Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to oversee all M&E matters. You will coordinate with consultants and contractors, ensure compliance with M&E design, and implement best practices. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in M&E field preferred.
• Familiarity with GBI and Green mark is advantageous.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Attend and coordinate all M&E matters with various Consultants, Contractors and relevant Authorities.
• Review and ensure M&E layout design in terms of functionality, buildability, maintainability, cost efficient and sustainability aspects are complied with.
• Implement M&E best practices in the projects and drive standardisation of M&E design and provisions across various asset classes.
• Implement cost management to ensure M&E design efficiency meets project requirements.
• Liaise and coordinate with Consultants for M&E submissions and approvals.
• Facilitate interaction between Consultants and Contractor on site to resolve M&E design and construction issues.
• Participate in construction management processes to ensure smooth progress of M&E works.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor 0Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position (preferably in M&E Consultant company).
• Familiar with GBI, Green mark and authorities' requirements will be an added advantage.
• Good in both verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
