Manager, Logistics (Malaysia)

The Manager, Logistics (Malaysia) will report directly to the Country General Manager of Sephora Malaysia, and functionally report to the Regional Logistics Manager.

Managing relationships and communications as well as being a point of escalation with Sephora internal departments and 3PLs for all logistics related matters by:

  • Communicating business-projected volumes related to warehouse operations in preparation for business needs and events
  • Supporting new store openings related to stock arrival deadlines and fixture requirements
  • Liaising with related departments / teams to plan inbound and outbound operation priorities as well as inventory integrity issues driven by suppliers / brands
  • Supporting and co-managing claims and quality issues with both suppliers, stores, and customer service

Managing and guaranteeing accuracy of inventory at 3PL through stock reconciliation and the return flow both from stores and back to suppliers, including:

  • Monitoring correct execution of interfaces
  • Monitoring specific flows impacting DC stocks (stock transfers, returns to warehouse from stores, quality, expiry, adjustments, disposals)
  • Managing and performing cycle counts and yearly full stock takes across 3PL
  • Ensuring all audit requirements related to stock integrity is maintained and captured

Continuous improvement relating to logistics by reviewing performance service levels, costs, and KPIs and continuous improvement projects to drive down cost, and improve efficiencies year on year, including:

  • Reviewing future needs, demands, capacities, and capabilities required
  • Contingency planning for logistics related tasks

Cost and budget management:

  • Monitoring and reporting on cost vs budget
  • Supporting the yearly and quarterly cost budget reviews

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

  • A degree or a professional qualification in Business, Operations Management or Supply Chain
  • At least 3 years of experience in Logistics, ideally in a retail environment including Ecommerce, FMCG, or medical industry
  • Experience in SAP, WMS system i.e. Manhattan, JDA is a bonus
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, with a strong ability to analyze, draw conclusions, and execute appropriate actions in response to data
  • Able to work across functional areas and levels of the organization and to interact at a distance
  • Good listener, able to empathize with others and is client-centric with a commercial mindset
  • Excited about driving operational change by sharing insights and influencing others
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to accept new ideas, people and procedures
