Job description

Position: Learning & Development Coordinator

Set in Malaysia's rapidly developing capital, our hotel is located in the heart of KL Eco City, Bangsar, and directly connected to the LRT Station and KTM Commuter Station. Amari Kuala Lumpur is ideally situated between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, offering 252 guest rooms including Superior rooms, Club Deluxe rooms, and Club One Bedroom Suites.

Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with all Department Heads to identify Team Member learning and development needs.
  2. Support the implementation of the property Training Plan to meet these needs.
  3. Work with GM and DHR or MHR to create detailed annual training plans and budgets.
  4. Administer the Learning & Development budget.
  5. Develop departmental on-the-job training schedules that meet operational objectives.
  6. Prepare and administer the learning and development calendar regularly.
  7. Assist department heads, outlet managers, and supervisors in setting up and scheduling on-the-job training to achieve performance standards.
  8. Prepare and submit Learning & Development plans and reports for property management.
  9. Manage and update monthly training records, ensuring Team Members complete required training hours according to ONYX standards.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or related professional area.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a hotel/resort environment, preferably in the Indian Ocean or beach destinations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy.
